The Gratitude Toolkit

A practical toolkit for human services leaders navigating stress, burnout, and complexity.

The Gratitude Toolkit is a free, practical resource designed for leaders and teams serving people with disabilities.  It offers reflection, discussion tools, and simple practices you can apply immediately.

This toolkit was created as a companion to the A Side of Hope podcast episode, “Can Gratitude Make You Resilient?”  but it stands on its own as a leadership and team resource.

Whether you’re feeling stretched, managing complexity, or simply wanting to strengthen culture, this guide offers space to pause, reflect, and take one meaningful step forward.

A Note from the Podcast Host:

Thank you for joining me in this conversation about gratitude.

My hope is that this toolkit becomes more than notes on a page. Take time with it, invite others into the process, and let gratitude be something you practice on purpose, not just something you feel when things go well.

Inside the Gratitude Toolkit, you’ll find:

  • Guided reflection questions for personal and leadership growth
  • Simple daily, relational, and team-based gratitude practices
  • A facilitated group discussion guide for teams
  • A gratitude challenge you can use individually or with staff
  • Real leadership insights from Compass leaders in the field
  • A small-goal commitment tool to turn insight into action
